AJ Perry understands that the true practice of martial arts is less about awards and more about our warrior spirit. While many martial artists and defensive tactics enthusiasts feel the need to flaunt their skills, Master Perry proceeds through life with a quiet dignity. His self-worth is measured in making his students better human beings through the use of martial arts. A.J. Perry believes that “toughness” is a state of mind. Master Perry has creatively combined his martial arts skills with his skill in helping others. A true believer in giving back to the community, AJ has raised thousands of dollars for charity through Martial Arts Demonstrations for The Leukemia Foundation, Northcoast Semper Fidelis Foundation, United Way and Easter Seals. One demonstration included completing 2200 push-ups within 90 minutes to raise funds!
AJ currently has the honor of serving as president of the Three-Deuce-Five Marine Foundation. This non-profit corporation exists to offer assistance to Marines, Sailors and their families as they recover from wounds and other unforeseen hardships due to their honorable service to our country. The Three-Duece-Five Marine Foundation is associated with the Third Battalion Twenty Fifth Marines headquartered in Brook Park Ohio. A partial list of efforts to raise money for our troops and their families include the purchase of handicapped accessible housing for a quadriplegic Marine, “An Evening with Donnie" ( where retired FBI agent Joe Pistone aka Donnie Brasco spoke of his time undercover), comedy shows, and an annual golf outing, which continues to be "sold out" each year. AJ has assisted Marines with Post Traumatic Stress related issues and with recently discharged Marines attempting to start a business.
In an era where people look for instant results, Master Perry will remind you of the importance of hard work, focus and determination to build a stable foundation in obtaining lifelong results in all areas of your life. His philosophy as a martial artist is as follows: The word Samurai translated means to serve. Master Perry has chosen to serve Marines in need and work diligently to instill this same spirit in his students.
